I have written for and edited newsletters, training manuals, help sheets, websites, and journals at internships with CASNews at Illinois State University and Lake Claremont Press in Chicago, and as a Technical Writer at CAS-IT Web Services at Illinois State University and at Hile Group. I graduated magna cum laude in December of 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts in both Publishing Studies and Dance Performance, after four and a half years of study as a Presidential Scholar and a member of the Honors Program at Illinois State University. I am also a
member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society, and was named a Bone Scholar last year, the highest honor bestowed
on undergraduate students at Illinois State University.

Words

I am seeking internships or employment in word-related fields, especially in the copyediting or writing capacity. I can fulfill various writing and editing needs, whether you need content generated, websites edited and clarified, help sheets and manuals created, or manuscripts edited and revised. As a beginner in the field I am open to learning and trying anything!

My favorite authors are Simon R. Green, Sarah Vowell, T.S. Eliot, and various unknown Anglo-Saxon poets.

Dance

I am also a pre-professionally trained dancer and choreographer, and am enthusiastically hoping to continue choreographing. Contact me for details of my experience and to discuss future projects! Trademarks of my choreography are a highly mobile torso, frequent sternum lifts, and movement connecting to movement with few transitions in between.

My favorite works are Alvin Ailey's Revelations, the American Ballet Theater's Nutcracker, Nijinsky's Le Sacre de Printemps (reconstructed by Chicago's Joffrey Ballet), Lin Hwai-min's Moon Water and Agnes de Mille's Fall River Legend.
